Amelie is taking a few days off in order to resume training in better conditions.
In the same breath of Team France's elimination in Fed Cup Sunday, Amelie has decided to distance herself from tennis for a few weeks. Gone for a few days of vacation,the French number one needs to take a break. A break that is undetermined since the Frenchwoman won't go back to competition until she feels like it. Amelie: " I have to change surroundings, leave the world of tennis behind". " I plan to to stop for 15 days,but if I feel that I need more time,in that case,I'll take more."

Amelie: I arrived in Sydney yesterday. The trip went well, will start with two training sessions of an hour in order for me to recuperate from the trip and get used to the conditions. It's already very warm here. In the next few days, I'll play plenty of training sets. I also wanted to wish you happiness, and success for this new year, thank you for all the support that you give me on the site and court side. This means a lot to me and helps me especially in tough times to always give the best of myself !

Amelie: Llegué a Sydney ayer. El viaje fue bien, vamos a empezar con dos sesiones de entrenamiento de una hora para recuperarme del viaje y aclimatarme a las condiciones. Ya hace mucho calor aquí. En los próximos días, voy a jugar muchos partidos de entrenamiento. También quería desearos felicidad y éxito para este nuevo año, gracias por todo el apoyo que me dais en la página y en la pista de tenis. Esto significa mucho para mí y me ayuda, especialmente, en los momentos duros para dar siempre lo mejor de mi misma!
